This Year's Theme

From the Challenge of the Precept to the Freedom of Victory

Theme Scripture
And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts . (King James Version)

I will walk in freedom because I search for your commands. (Joel Philip Church Version)

Psalm 119:45

Theme Poem
(Celebration of Victory - Even if Dread Looms)

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:…

By Walt Whitman - after Abraham Lincoln's assassination

.

Theme Quotation
  All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words:
 freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

Sir Winston Churchill
(1874 - 1965)
